Ann Romney charged on Thursday that President Barack Obama’s campaign wants to “destroy” her husband as she blasted the “kill Romney” strategy that she believes the Democrats are using to hold onto the White House in November.
“Well, I feel like all [Obama is] doing is saying, ‘Let’s kill this guy,’” Ann said in a taped interview with CBS’s “This Morning” on Wednesday.
“Not when I’m next to him you better not,” she quipped as her husband sat beside her for the joint interview.
“When you hear the president of the United States saying that a president needs compassion and that your husband doesn’t have it, do you listen to that?” asked CBS correspondent Jan Crawford.
“No. 1, they’re not correct. It makes you recognize that they are gonna do everything they can to destroy Mitt,” answered Ann Romney.
