(WSJ)–This tumblr, of photos of parents talking on their phones, has been making the rounds on the internet.
Predictably, there have been a range of responses. At Snopes.com,the conversation covered being on the phone while out with the kids, to texting at the dinner table. One reader wrote:
When I’m hanging out with friends, we all have our phones handy. Sometimes we are texting others to join us. Other times there may be a pause in the conversation while we look things up. One time, one of the guys and I were texting each other while we were sitting right next to each other. Yeah, we were just being silly and we cracked up laughing when others realized what we were doing. What would we do without our toys?
