White House: Libya was ‘terrorist attack’

A White House spokesman today said it is apparent that last week’s attack in Libya that killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans was an act of terrorism.

“It is self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack,” said White House spokesman Jay Carney.”Our embassy was attacked violently and the result was four deaths of American officials.”

Carney also noted that the killings are still under investigation, and, “we have no information at this point to suggest that this is a significantly pre-planned attack.”

Carney spoke as CNN and others, citing unnamed sources, reported that slain U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens had “worried about what he called the never-ending security threats in Benghazi and mentioned his name was on an al Qaeda hit list.”

The White House spokesman also cited testimony from National Counterterrorism Center director Matthew Olsen, who told a Senate hearing yesterday: “I would say, yes, they were killed in course of terrorist attack on our embassy.”

      The White House has a President that is not there, because he is too busy hobnobbing with wealthy stars so he can get more money to spread more lies and innuendos about the other candidate. He is also enjoying the party. Meanwhile back at the White House everyone else is caught up to speed on what is really going on. We couldn’t possibly bother the President with national security stuff or unemployment stuff or national debt stuff, he has a campaign to run with the help of the liberal media.

    Mitt came out right away and called it a terrorist attack …..and the Dems and obama claim Mitt is out of touch and doesn’t know what he’s talking about and jumped the gun in speaking too soon; before he had all the facts…seems Mitt had all the facts right from the start and is in touch….

    Right, they hit US Embassies, used shoulder carried rocket launchers, did it on September 11th, but they have “no information that this was at this point to suggest that this is a significantly pre-planned attack.” How absurd!!!!! If they need to launch a “full blown” investigation to figure it out, then they give “hiring the handicapped” a WHOLE new meaning. Gawd, do they really believe we’re THAT stupid???? This is an insult to the American people, and evidence for their IMPEACHMENT hearings….
    And of course, they turned the press toward Mitt Romney who took a PRESIDENTIAL stand on it immediately….oh, that’s right, Ovomit was too busy on Letterman, and with Jayzee and Beyonce….sorry, but the CRISIS in the ME will just have to wait till he’s done….oh, and HE’S DONE alright….how many more days now….47?????

      What gets me is that he really believes he is ahead in the poles. He also thinks he is doing a good job as a president. His 13 year old daughter would do a way better job than he does as a president. I know 16 year olds that have 10 times the brain power. When he finally admitted smoking weed in High School and College, why didn’t any one get him out then. He doesn’t have enough brain cells in his brain to run a country.

    I think it is very sad that our White House won’t make sure our people are safe. It cost four men their lives. Obama already said Americans are soft and he is critical all the time of the conservative party. I hope he is not re-elected. We cannot afford another 4 years of this man in office. He will pretty much destroy all this wonderful county stands for.

    They had to wait for the “official announcement” until after his letterman appearance. I mean come on, no real president, after a muslim terrorist attack on American soil that kills Americans, would be on letterman exactly 1 week later. of course this makes his previous statement about how we need to stop hurting the religious feelings of muslims seem like a completely asinine and Idiotic thing to say.
