[Video] Putin Supports Russian Ban On Adoptions

Russian President Vladimir Putin says that a draft bill banning US adoptions of Russian children is a legitimate response to a new US law that calls for sanctions on Russians deemed to be human rights violators. Putin says that the measure, which has received preliminary approval in parliament, is also a response to an alleged US failure to protect the rights of adopted Russian children. Robin Forestier Walker reports from Moscow.

    So what? We have plenty of children right here in the U.S. that could use a home with someone to love them.

    KGB putin can hardly lecture when you think of how many people he personally subjected to torture and worse as head of the KGB. No mention is made of how many children adopted from Russia had genetic defects and also Fetal Alcohol syndrome, discovered only after they had been adopted. We have children enough here to fill the need who would have homes but for scads of red tape.
